Privacy policy
Written plainly, because a policy a parent cannot read is not a policy.
The Nuṛ app is built to work without collecting data.
- It works without an account: there is no sign-up screen, and it does not ask for an email address.
- The app ships without analytics, tracking, third-party advertising or profiles. This website is separate and does use analytics, described below.
- We wrote the app ourselves, without advertising or analytics kits from other companies.
- The pages, fonts and sounds ship inside the app, and the app makes no network requests of its own.
- We do not collect your information, so we have none to store, share or sell.
Who this is
Who we are
Nuṛ is an iPhone coloring book made by Artifex Innovations LLC. This policy describes the Nuṛ app. This website is a different thing and behaves differently, which is covered further down under this website. Questions go to [email protected].
Accounts
There is no account
Nuṛ has no sign-up screen and no sign-in screen. It does not ask for a name, an email address, a birthday, a phone number, a photo or a location. It does not connect to a social network. The app keeps no profile of your child, because nothing in it could hold one.
Information
What we collect
We do not collect personal information: not contacts, not the photo library, not location, not the device identifier, not what is colored, not how long the app is open.
The current version of Nuṛ ships without analytics tools, crash reporting services, advertising networks or marketing kits from other companies.
Apple may show us aggregate App Store figures, such as how many people downloaded the app. Those come from Apple, under Apple's privacy policy, and they identify nobody.
On the device
What stays on the iPhone
Some things have to be remembered for the app to work, and all of them stay on the iPhone where they were made:
- Which pages have been colored, and which colors went where.
- Favorites and finished artwork.
- Recently used colors.
- Settings, such as sound, motion and Kid Mode.
It stays on the device and does not reach us. Deleting the app removes it. Pictures already saved to your photo library are yours and stay there.
Network
The app does not go online
Nuṛ makes no network requests of its own. There is no server behind it. Artwork, fonts and sounds ship inside the app, which is also why it works with no signal at all, on a plane or in a car.
Two things do involve the outside world, and both are worth naming:
- Buying or restoring Nuṛ Plus. That is handled by Apple. iOS speaks to the App Store on the device's behalf and tells Nuṛ only whether a subscription is active. Apple's own privacy policy governs that exchange.
- Links a grown-up chooses to open. Tapping a link, from behind the grown-up check, leaves Nuṛ and opens Safari, where Apple's and the destination's rules apply instead of ours.
Photos
Your photo library
When a grown-up saves a finished page, iOS asks permission to add it to your photos. Nuṛ asks for permission to add only. It cannot see, open, read, or send the photos already on the iPhone, and it does not ask to. If the answer is no, the rest of the app carries on as normal.
Purchases
Subscriptions
Nuṛ Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Payment details go to Apple and do not pass through Nuṛ. We do not see a card number, a billing address or a name, and Apple does not send us personal information about who subscribed.
Managing or cancelling a subscription happens in your Apple Account. The steps are on the support page.
Children
Children's privacy
Nuṛ is built for families, and children are expected to use it. That is exactly why it is built to collect nothing.
Because we do not collect information from anyone, we do not collect it from children either, and there is none to store, share with a third party, sell, or use to advertise to a child. Nuṛ shows no third-party advertising, carries no in-app messaging and no links to social networks, and sharing a picture out of the app sits behind the grown-up check.
Buying anything and following any link outside the app both require a grown-up check first: press and hold, then answer a question written out in words. Kid Mode removes the store from view entirely.
This is our commitment under children's privacy laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act in the United States and the equivalent protections for children elsewhere. A parent has no data to review, correct or delete here, because none was taken. If a parent wants to be sure of that, write to us and ask.
Sharing
Sharing and selling
We do not share, rent, trade or sell information about you or your child, because we do not have any. We work with no advertising partner, data broker, analytics vendor or marketing list.
Your rights
Your choices
Since we hold no information about you, there is nothing to request a copy of, nothing to correct and nothing to ask us to delete. Everything the app remembers lives on the iPhone and is removed by deleting the app.
If you write to us at [email protected], your message sits in our email account so we can answer it. We use it for that and nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list, not used for advertising and not passed to anyone else. Ask us to delete the exchange when it is finished and we will.
This website
The website is not the app
Everything above describes the app you install on an iPhone. These pages are an ordinary website, and websites work differently. artio.space uses:
- Google Analytics, to count visits and see which pages people read.
- Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move through a page so we can tell what is confusing.
- MailerLite, on the pages of ours that offer an email signup. Nuṛ does not have one; you reach us by writing to us.
Those are three outside companies, each with its own privacy policy, and they set their own cookies. Your browser's own settings and any tracking protection it offers apply here as they do anywhere else. None of this is in the app, and /* Squarespace chrome, neutralized for this page only: the site header/footer and announcement bar belong to another app's brand, and the Fluid Engine grid would trap a tall code block inside a fixed-height cell. */ #header, #footer-sections, footer.sections, .sqs-announcement-bar-dropzone, .floating-cart-wrapper, #ai-sticky-launch, #ai-discover-strip, #ai-research-disclosure { display: none !important; } body.ai-has-sticky { padding-bottom: 0 !important; } #page .page-section { padding: 0 !important; min-height: 0 !important; } #page .content-wrapper { padding: 0 !important; max-width: none !important; } #page .fluid-engine { display: block !important; grid-gap: 0 !important; } #page .fe-block { position: static !important; }

If this policy changes
This page describes the current version of Nuṛ, and any change is posted here. If a future version needed to collect something, this page would say so plainly and in advance, and the app would ask first.
